MMG's Australian head office is in Southbank, Victoria. Our operations include mines in:

1) Western Australia
The Golden Grove underground base and precious metals mine in Western Australia produces concentrates of zinc, copper and other base and precious metals.

Golden Grove has an 8/6 FIFO roster from either Perth or Geraldton. Accommodation and meals are provided in a comfortable modern camp with swimming pool, fully equipped gym, Foxtel, beach volleyball, outdoor cricket pitch and tennis courts.

2) Queensland
MMG’s Century Mine operation, the second largest zinc mine in the world, comprises two sites located in the lower Gulf region of North-west Queensland. The mine is located at Lawn Hill, and associated concentrate dewatering and ship loading facilities are at Karumba on the Gulf of Carpentaria.

MMG Century offers an attractive 8/6 or 5/2 FIFO roster commuting from Townsville, Mount Isa or Gulf Community Centres. MMG Century provides onsite accommodation with meal services, as well as sporting and gym facilities.

3) Tasmania
The Rosebery Mine in Tasmania, a polymetallic underground mine, in operation since 1936, which has current potential to extend life beyond 2030. Concentrates from Rosebery are transported to the Port of Burnie by rail where they are shipped to customers in Hobart & South Australia.

MMG’s Avebury mine, producing nickel concentrate, was first commissioned in June 2008. Due to the major fall in nickel prices, this mine is currently in care and maintenance.

Avebury and Rosebery mines are located on Tasmania’s west coast in close proximity to Strahan and a couple of hours drive from Burnie and Devonport. Rosebery offers exceptional outdoor experiences with fishing, canoeing, white water rafting, rock climbing and walking at your doorstep.

Our overseas operations include mines in:

1) Sepon, Laos
The Sepon Copper operation in Laos produces approximately 65,000 tonnes of copper annually. The gold operation at Sepon is in its eighth year of production. The operations at Sepon under the local management of the Lane Xang Minerals Limited business, make a significant contribution to the development of the Lao PDR.

Located near the gateway to South East Asia, working here allows for exploration of this fascinating region whilst on R&R. The attractive 24/18 roster provides travel to and from your home base. Onsite accommodation facilities are provided, including a gym and sporting facilities.

MMG has a portfolio of exploration projects, either wholly-owned or as joint ventures, in North America, Thailand, China, Indonesia, Tunisia and Australia. In these regions we are exploring for metals in our experience range including copper, gold, nickel and zinc.
