Based in Perth, Western Australia, Minara operates the Murrin Murrin nickel and cobalt, joint venture project (60% Minara, 40% Glencore International AG) which is situated in the northern goldfields region between the towns of Leonora and Laverton.

BGC Contracting's Drill and Blast business is currently undergoing a significant phase of development, re-structure and growth. This has made way for several drill and blast opportunities.  You will need previous experience of two years or greater in drill and blast in a mining environment.

Blast Hole Drillers

The recent downturn in certain commodity markets has seen a reverse effect for gold producers like Newcrest who reported a net profit of $154m in the six months to December, compared to a net loss of $8.1m a year earlier.

The growth in profit is attributable to higher realised gold prices which have more than compensated for Newcrest's lower achieved copper price and increased input costs.
