Queensland Premier Anna Bligh has announced a round of resource industry job expos to be held across major regional centres of Queensland. The Expo’s are intended to connect those seeking an opportunity in the industry with mining and construction companies, and to provide guidance and advice on career pathways and providers.
With more than 38,000 construction and operation jobs anticipated in the Queensland resources sector between now and 2014-2015, the Queensland government and local employers have committed to identifying the jobs and skills required immediately and in the longer term, and bringing those vacancies to the expos.
