As we build our LNG Plant, we are progressing with our housing strategy, to provide homes for our people who will be working at our Plant when it is operational. This month we speak to the person who makes this happen - Wendy Naylor - our Gladstone Housing Officer.
Why did you join the Project?
I have lived in the Gladstone area for 28 years and previously worked in real estate. For the past few years the words LNG has been on the tip of everyone’s tongue and I was keen to be a part of this future industry for Gladstone. To be part of this exciting Project is mind blowing!
What is your role on the Project?
I am the Gladstone Housing Officer. I help balance the accommodation needs of our workforce with our commitment to minimising
the impact on the community. This includes overseeing the construction of our new family homes to accommodate our workforce, and helping welcome new team members to Gladstone.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
I enjoy seeing everyone settle in to their new home and love to tell them what our great Gladstone Region has to offer.
In your opinion, what sets our Project apart?
I work with a great team, and I believe it is our people that sets our Project apart – I’m also proud of how we communicate and keep the local people well informed.
What keeps you busy in your spare time?
My spare time is taken up with my husband and two sons, my beautiful puppy and catching up with great friends.
Most people don’t know this, but…
I'm British...and Prince William is my nephew, drop over to look at the wedding photos anytime!
