After three years and with more than 5,000 workers, construction is now complete on Woodside’s Pluto project.
Commissioning of the liquefied natural gas facility on the Burrup Peninsula is about to commence ahead of the first gas production in February next year – and will require a changeover of the types of skills required.
In the next three months, contracting partners on the project will be looking to employ about 700 new workers including welders, electricians, instrument technicians and insulators. Project managers, ideally with a relevant trade skills background and additional expertise in planning, supervision, document control or health and safety areas will also be required.
