WA School of Mines' Mining Program for TEE students

The Western Australian School of Mines (WASM) is conducting a ‘Focus on Mining’ program for students in year 12 with a keen interest in sciences (chemistry and physics) and maths. The program provides students with a great understanding of the sort of university courses available with a science and maths stream and the mining sector careers these courses can lead to.

The WA School of Mines’ Focus on Mining 2010 is a 5 day, fully immersive and all expenses paid experience for Year 12 TEE students interested in maths and science who are considering studying mining related courses at university.

From 5-9 July, students will travel with like-minded students and industry professionals, visit operational mine sites (go underground and stay overnight), participate in hands on workshops and get a taste of the mining lifestyle.

Applications have been extended to 15th May. Click on the following link to view the flyer: http://www.ausimm.com.au/content/docs/wasm_focusonmining2010.pdf.
