Struggling to find work following redundancy or just to find a position in today’s tough job market?

You’re not alone but don’t despair - the Australian Government has recently launched a great new phone advice line available to Australian Job Seekers who have been affected by the global financial crisis.

Under the government’s Keep Australia Working strategy, the hotline is just one of a range of strategies aimed at helping to protect jobs and support businesses in the current economic climate.

The Career Advice Telephone Service is available to the Australian public however priority access will be given to young people, adult workers and/or job seekers impacted by the Global Recession.

If you are in this situation then you can call and will be put in contact with relevant services in your area or if these services aren’t available you can talk directly on the phone to a qualified Career Adviser who will work with you to identify your skills, explore career options, and develop a personal plan, tailored to your circumstances, that will help you find employment.
