Established in 1978, Southern Cross Electrical Engineering Limited (SCEE), and its group of overseas companies, provides electrical and instrumentation installation services for major construction projects.
Successful contracts have been completed in the mining, mineral sands, petrochemical, and heavy engineering industries throughout Australia, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Uruguay, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Ghana, Mauritania, Tanzania, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand and Jamaica.
Southern Cross Electrical Engineering recently secured two new contracts. The first with Tiwest's titanium dioxide pigment plant expansion at Kwinana (providing low voltage electrical and instrumentation works) and the second with CiticPacific Mining's Iron Ore project (providing early phase electrical works at Cape Preston).
The company have also recently acquired the Hindle Group, an electrical group providing electrical maintenance and inspection services to the offshore industry.
Work on Tiwest's expansion is expected to commence in July 2009 and will be completed during the third quarter of FY10.
