With the end of another year rapidly approaching, it is time once again to celebrate our fabulous industry at the 2010 Snowden photography exhibition. The top 60 or so photographs from this year’s competition “Celebrating the Mining Industry” will be available for the public to view at Central Park in Perth from Friday 8th October, with the official exhibition opening on the 7th. The exhibition will then travel to Brisbane in late October, and South Africa early next year.
Since the inaugural event in 2005 the Snowden photo competition has become one of the most recognisable competitions in the mining and resources industry, attracting hundreds of high quality photo’s from aspiring shutterbugs around the world each year.
This year’s competition was no different and the number of quality submissions went beyond everyone’s expectations. From the searing heat of out-back Australia to the frozen worlds of Canada and the lush forests of the Congo; the photo submissions were truly breathtaking and inspiring to everyone who viewed them.
Each year we are continually astounded by the submissions we receive and creativity that comes from our industry, and as a new year begins we will be again inviting our colleagues and the public in general from around the world to participate.
For now however we are inviting you all to view the winners and other amazing submissions, check out the Snowden Group website to find out when and where you can see them at http://www.snowdengroup.com.
