The Resource Channel has received its second national award since the company’s inception in 2010.
The Resource Channel was awarded ‘Best Job Board Australia’ at the annual Recruitment Excellence Awards (REA) held in Sydney (21 October) by international news organisation, Thomson Reuters. The prestigious national award recognises the company’s commitment to assisting the job market to not only find employment opportunities, but to also remain abreast of employment news and information relevant to the “booming” Australian mining and petroleum industries.
Director, Jody Elliott, said “We are very proud to take out our second national award in less than two years. It is a pretty remarkable achievement for a small organisation like ours and is significant recognition of the work we do, and the success The Resource Channel has achieved in assisting both industry and the job market.”
Launched in 2010 by Jody Elliott, a former Recruitment Manager with BHP Billiton and Santos, the website provides job seekers across all levels and disciplines with a credible and accurate source of information on current and upcoming opportunities in oil and gas, mining and resource industry construction in Australia.
The website is intended to make it as easy as possible to know what is going on across the industry without the need to be looking across dozens of web pages. For this reason, The Resource Channel is applicable to those already working in the industry and those looking to enter.
“Last year The Resource Channel was awarded Best National Blog Website in recognition of the information we provide to our audience. It is really pleasing to be recognised again for the work we are doing in making the Australian Resource Sector more accessible to the global job market as an employment option”, said Ms Elliott.
