Apprenticeships Australia together with Energy Apprenticeships Group is the largest employer of apprentices and trainees in Western Australia.
The Group has just launched its 2012 intake for Operator Traineeships via a structured two year program. In the program, trainees will be in a field support role and work on a fly in fly out (FIFO) rotating roster. Training will provide technical knowledge on hydrocarbon processing systems, skills to operate process facilities and development of mechanical aptitude.
Upon completion, trainees will receive a Certificate III in Process Plant Operations which is recognised in the Australian Hydrocarbon Industry.
Whilst trade skills are highly regarded for entry into such a program, it should not discourage others who have completed Year 12 or further study with mechanical aptitude from applying.
The program is supported by Woodside.
