MMG is the world’s second largest producer of zinc as well as a substantial producer of copper, lead, gold and silver. The group currently has mining operations located in Australia and Asia and a large portfolio of advanced and early stage exploration projects through Australia, Asia and North America.

The Golden Grove underground base and precious metals mine in Western Australia produces concentrates of zinc, copper and other base and precious metals.

What’s Involved…
We’re seeking an enthusiastic Mine Geologist to join our small but committed Geology team. As a key part of the team you’ll be responsible for providing day to day mine geological services to the Operation. This will involve grade control, drill hole logging, underground geological mapping, monitoring mine headings under geological control, management and interpretation of digital geological data and reconciliation of ore production.

Who We’re After…
From a technical point of view, you will have:

  • A degree in Geology
  • 1+ years underground mine geology experience
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Applicants with u/g diamond drilling and VHMS experience will be well regarded

The Lifestyle
This permanent position will commute on an 8/6 FIFO roster from either Perth or Geraldton. Accommodation and meals are provided in a comfortable modern camp with swimming pool, fully equipped gym, Foxtel, beach volleyball, outdoor cricket pitch and tennis courts.
