In a resource industry first, a number of mining projects in Queensland are about to launch a major on-line survey to determine the level of interest from trainees, semi-skilled, female and Indigenous participants, together with those already working in the industry for fly in, fly out opportunities from Brisbane.
In a significant departure from traditional recruitment approaches, major mining projects are seeking job market feedback ahead of time to better plan to meet workforce expectations and challenges. The projects are also unique in that they are mainly targeting entry level candidates, including a high number of women.
The survey campaign - "The Face of Mining is Changing" - will invite you to answer questions about your interest in particular jobs, where you are currently based and if you would be interested in a fly in, fly out job in Queensland. From the 26th of July, you will have the opportunity to register your interest or pass on to someone you know. The survey will be open for four weeks and is exclusive to The Resource Channel.
Not only will you get a chance to provide invaluable feedback to assist industry projects to plan, but you have a very real opportunity to become an automatic candidate as projects are approved.
We will be blogging about this on the website so you are able to keep up to date via The Blog. You can also keep an eye out on our media page to see where the 'Face of Mining is Changing' story is being promoted.
