Liebherr’s plans to massively expand its facilities at Para Hills in South Australia will likely create another 100 jobs in the next four to five years taking its total workforce to 250.

According to its expansion application, the company will construct a new workshop for the assembly and disassembly of machinery.

It will also build new storage buildings and offices.

According to a company spokesperson, Liebherr evaluated options for Western Australia and Queensland in particular, but in terms of centralising the location and access to a skilled workforce Adelaide was the superior choice.

Liebherr employs HD Fitters and Field Service Fitters on the main.
