There is a small team in the Darwin Office, with more than 2000 workers required in Darwin at the peak of the Projects construction over the next four to five years. A full time workforce of more than 300 would operate and maintain the gas plant over the 40 year life of the project.
Gas from the Ichthys Field in the Browse Basin - offshore of WA, will be exported, after processing, to the onshore facilities in Darwin via an 850km subsea pipeline. The project is expected to produce more than 1.6million tones of LPG per annum, with the first gas shipment scheduled for early 2014 early 2015.
