GLNG Contracting Supplier Opportunities
Last week, Santos provided us with a great update on all things employment related for their Gladstone LNG Project.
In addition, they offer opportunities for Australian industry to participate on the project through their Australian Industry Participation Plan, which aims to maximise industry participation in the provision of materials and equipment, labour, plant and professional skills to the project.
To assist suppliers, subcontractors and service providers seeking to register an interest in participating on the project, Santos has engaged the services o the Industry Capability Network (ICN) in Queensland to facilitate registration of interested parties. The project is categorised according to three sub-elements on the ICN website:
UPSTREAM; the exploration and production of CSG in the Surat and Bowen Basin gas fields;
PIPELINE; construction and operation of a 435km gas pipeline from the gas fields to Gladstone;
DOWNSTREAM; construction and operation of a gas liquefaction and export facility on Curtis Island and associated infrastructure
Register Your Interest
Business entities interested in obtaining pre-qualification must register their interest against a particular sub-project dependent on their field of expertise. Even if you have previously registered on the Santos website, you must also register on the ICN website.
To register you must visit the ICN website at www.icn.org.au and register an expression of interest to participate in the sub-project prequalification process (you can register for each of the three sub-projects if appropriate).
Each application will be considered for short listing by ICN based on experience, Quality Assurance, Health, Safety and Environment etc.
