Interested in exploring job opportunities in the mining and resources sector?
Considered becoming a ‘fly-in fly-out’ (FIFO) worker?
Well, we’ve done some of the work for you.
This week on ABC Sydney Breakfast, Peter explored how skilled and unskilled workers from the South Coast, Highlands and the Illawarra can source work and be trained to work on mining projects right across Australia.
A deal has been struck between mining magnate Gina Rinehart and the federal government, that will see over 1700 foreign workers filling construction positions at her 9.5 billion dollar Roy’s Hill Iron Ore project in Western Australia.

Listen below to Peter Riley of ABC Sydney speaking to Jody Elliott, the Director of ‘The Resource Channel’ – a website that facilitates the process of finding a job, specifically in the mining and resources sector.
