Whilst a number of EnerMech divisions have been in business of providing a range of mechanical engineering products and services to the energy industry for more than 25 years, it was only in April 2008 that they placed all crane, training, pumping, hydraulics and equipment services under the one official brand of ‘EnerMech’.
The UK Company with bases in Norway, Middle East and Asia Pacific has been developed by both organic growth and strategic acquisition, resulting in annual revenue in excess of $50m and a workforce of 300 experience staff worldwide.
Acquisitions completed in 2008 included Specialist Maintenance Services Ltd, A1 Safety Training Consultants Ltd in the UK, Pavitt Energy and Scotia Oilfield Trading in the Middle East and Bjorge ASA’s crane division in Norway.
In July this year, they invested A$820,000 on a crane simulator for use in the Australian-Asia Pacific market, with further plans to develop an exclusive program to extend the simulator’s capabilities to include subsea lifting operations. According to Enermech, this will be a world first development for the crane and heavy lifting industry.
EnerMech say this latest investment in new technology provides the company with the only crane simulator in the region and underlines its determination to significantly expand operations in both Singapore and Perth.
The Crane Simulator will be a containerised unit that will be suitable for being transported between various locations as operational requirements dictate. It is designed to work in extreme weather conditions and cope with the various electrical supplies that exist in different countries.
Enermech says the Crane Simulator represents the most innovative and unique concept in both crane operator training and assessment that is available today. It provides a highly effective and comprehensive tool to train and assess personnel in a safe and realistic environment, enabling the operator to experience a wide range of conditions and situations that cannot be replicated at their normal work site.
During simulator training the operator will be subject to a series of real time exercises in which malfunction situations that could occur during actual crane operations are introduced.
Consistent with their target growth strategy for Perth, they are now seeking candidates for the following positions:
