Crosslands Resources - A day in the life

Crosslands Resources, the second largest exporter of iron ore from Western Australia's fast developing mid-west region, is an emerging mining industry leader. They own and operate the Jack Hills iron ore mine, 380 kilometres north-east of Geraldton and are one of the largest tenement holders in the mid-west iron ore province.

Currently employing more than 300 people, both direct employees and contractors, they are working to increase this number. As an integral part of the local community, they recently hosted 2 young women, aspiring to have careers in the mining industry as part of their second “Ultimate Mine Experience” Competition.

CEO, Stuart Hall said the Company was delighted to offer a hands on learning experience for those contemplating years of study to enter the mining industry. The competition was designed for Mid West youth as an additional way for the Company to express their appreciation for the cooperation they receive from the communities in which they operate.

The recipients toured the site and operations, had lunch in the mess and spent the day experiencing life at a mid-west mine site.
