CBH Resources has received the necessary approvals to commence operations at their Rasp Mine in Broken Hill. These approvals allow for the mining and crushing of 120,000 tonnes of ore per annum from Rasp for two years and for this ore to be transported to CBH’s Endeavor Mine near Cobar for processing.

Approval from Industry & Investment NSW was received in December for underground mining operations.

The Company says that they will now work to bring the mine into production by the middle of the year, initially employing up to 40 new staff.

During the year, they will also be seeking approvals and working on plans for Stage 2 of the mine which will see production of up to 750,000 tonnes per year for approximately 15 years. This stage will likely see an increase in job opportunities for the Broken Hill area and ongoing benefits for the local community.

CBH Resources has operations at Cobar, NSW, base metal developments at Panorama, WA (Copper - Zinc), and Broken Hill, NSW (Zinc-Lead-Silver), a concentrate shiploading facility at Newcastle, NSW and exploration positions in the metal provinces associated with each project.

In addition to the Rasp Mine in NSW, they are planning a new open pit copper-zinc mine at their Panorama site in the Pilbara region of WA. Considerable planning work has been undertaken and necessary government approvals are being sought.
