Historically these roles attract large numbers of applicants, so how do you get the attention of the Recruiter who is screening your resume? There are a couple of things that stand out in the ad, that might be used to screen you in or out, for consideration.

Here are a few tips on what should be really clear on the first page of your Resume, to give the Recruiter reason to want to keep reading:

Summary of your Experience

Date.............. Name of Company......................... Job Title

Date .............. Name of Company........................ Job Title

Summary Details of your Current Licenses

Safety - Career Highlight – write a paragraph relating to how you have positively contributed to a safety issue in your current or previous employment. Briefly describe the situation, what you did and what the result was.

If your first page of your resume has these details, the Recruiter will be interested to read on, but if you have the relevant information buried deep in pages 3 or 4, you may be quickly flicked to the “No” pile.
