Atwood Oceanics – constructing Atwood Osprey for Australian waters

The Atwood Osprey, currently under construction in Singapore, is our 10th addition to the current fleet. The Rig features  leading edge technology and deepwater drilling and completions capabilities.

Scheduled for delivery in early 2011, the Atwood Osprey is committed to at least three years work in Australian waters specifically for Chevron Australia Pty Ltd.  Under the terms of the contract, the initial commitment is until 2014 with the option to extend by up to six years. This could take the work out to 2017.  The unit will be conventionally moored in up to 6000 feet water depth, with its own mooring at 8200 feet, and its own pre-laid mooring equipment.
