The Atwood Falcon and Jobs in 2012

The Atwood Falcon was awarded “Floater Rig of the Year” 2011 by Shell in recognition for excellence in Safety and operational performance and from May 2012. The Rig joins the Atwood Eagle and the Atwood Osprey as our 3rd operating Rig in Australian waters. 

The Rig, a semi-submersible floater rig drilling depths of 25, 000 feet has been working in Malaysia since 1998 for Shell and will be arriving in Western Australia in May/June 2012.  With the arrival of the Rig, we are pleased to be able to confirm our recruitment program for the next few months and the number of people we will require.  Each of the positions will be advertised separately with information about the role and requirements and the timing will be about 10 weeks prior to the proposed start date……

Every new employee commencing with Atwood prior to May 2012 can expect to be working in the Jurong Shipyard, Singapore for approximately one or two hitches (depending on hire date) and, due to the nature of the tow to Australia, some flexibility will be required.  Normal 28/28 roster will commence when the rig arrives in Australia.
