AECOM employs record 160 graduates

We have welcomed a record number of graduates to its Australian and New Zealand (ANZ) arm this year, with 160 graduates joining our team. 

Director of People & Performance (Australia New Zealand), Bill Kernahan, says consistently high numbers of incoming graduates and an excellent retention rate have become distinguishable characteristics of the organisation, regardless of the economic climate. Even in bust environments such as the Global Financial Crisis (GFC), AECOM maintained its commitment to supporting new talent each year.”

This year’s successful candidates will attend AECOM’s two-day annual graduate induction in Melbourne on March 8-9. The group will include graduates from Australia and New Zealand across all engineering fields, planning, architecture, environmental science, mathematics, management and communications.  At the induction, the newcomers will hear from AECOM leaders and former graduates about the business, including its Growing Professional Skills (GPS) graduate program, which acts as a bridge between university and the workplace. It includes mandatory and recommended training courses, a mentoring program and help with obtaining professional accreditations.
