$85m Rio Contract Awarded

Monadelphous have secured a major construction contract with Rio Tinto Iron Ore for works associated with Phase I of the Brockman 4 development, in the north west of Western Australia. The contract is valued at approximately $85 million, with work to commence immediately and substantial completion scheduled for the third quarter 2010.

The scope of the contract includes structural, mechanical and piping works for the supply, pre-assembly and installation of the dry processing system which comprises primary crushing, secondary crushing, product screening, stockyards and train load out facilities.

The Brockman 4 project win follows on from a long history of successful projects for Rio Tinto Iron Ore, including recent works on the Cape Lambert 80Mtpa and Dampier Port Phase B Upgrades.
